Unbounce is one of the most well known platforms to create custom landing pages that convert 10 times better than traditional website pages. Just like Clickfunnels, Unbounce offers several possibilities to create landing pages that convert more than usual.
Why use Unbounce for landing pages?
The landing pages of Unbounce or Clickfunnels are different in different ways from ‘normal’ landing pages that you can create on a WordPress or other CMS.
First of all, they can be made much faster, which saves an enormous amount of time. You can load predefined templates and almost immediately get a beautiful landing page that would otherwise cost you half a day’s work. The time saving aspect is one of the main assets of tools like Unbounce.
But also the creative part should not be underestimated here. If you need to encode a converting landing page from scratch, you often encounter stumbling blocks that make progress difficult.
Think of technical challenges (e.g. special effects you want to add), problems with site speed and hosting (e.g. if you want to play a heavy video), challenges around making the main menus on that specific page disappear (to minimize distractions and thus maximize conversion).
None of this with Unbounce.
In other words, Unbounce helps you in two ways: first, you simply save a lot of time because you can use the huge library of templates, images, modules, widgets, you name it. Moreover, Unbounce eliminates the traditional web design process where you need a minimum of two people (one for the graphic part and one for the technical part).
Experiences with Unbounce
I tried Unbounce myself in my lead generation and came up with surprising results. The number of leads that came in was above all expectations! In total it took me about 3 hours to set up everything (DNS, design, padding, follow-up of the leads via email automation).
Step 1: the DNS
Setting up the DNS is very simple. Just add a CNAME record with a new value generated automatically in Unbounce. This is actually the most technical of the whole Unbounce setup. For those who are not familiar with DNS, this is probably not so obvious. But in a few minutes, if not seconds, this job is done. Most domain name providers (Combell, Siteground, Versio, etc.) adapt the DNS for you if you just send them an e-mail. So, it is certainly not necessary to dig into the DNS yourself if you are not familiar with it.
